when a mother breaks her toe early in the morning?
First, she bawls on the floor for a good amount of time while her children gather around her.
Next, she calls her husband in tears convinced she's ruined their Easter weekend plans.
Then, the children stay in their pajamas for the majority of the day and have free reign while the mother tries to keep her toe elevated and on ice.

When they finally do get themselves together; hair isn't done so here's the pigtails for the day:

Lastly, a good husband comes home in the evening, doesn't say a word about the destructed house, and stays home half a day on Wednesday to fetch and carry Rachel to Joy School. The mother can't even fathom putting a pair of shoes on, let alone driving (you need both feet for a stick shift!).
So here's hoping that after 48 hours of babying her toe, she'll be in good shape for the weekend. We shall see...

OUCH! Sorry to hear about your toe. Sometimes a forced mom vacation just sort of happens, huh?! I hope you recover quickly--moms kinda need their feet!:)
oh laura. at least it didn't happen before london, you needed a good toe for that getaway :) so sorry about your crazy day. hope it heals in time for your fun trip to berlin.
Yikes! Hope your toe is doing better!
OH man!! I am sooo sorry! I know what that's like (a ceramic bookend fell on my big toe last summer) and it is a frustrating, most painful experience!!! I hope you still get to enjoy your Easter and that your family takes good care of you!!
Poor Poor laura--that stinks!!! I hate being in pain!!! I love the new family picture--super cute!
So sorry to hear about your toe! It's so nice that your girls are at ages where they can play independently. Best of luck with your Easter plans. Take it easy, and I love the new family picture!! So cute!
