Recently Audrey has been asking some interesting questions. While we were driving in the car the other day she asked me, "Why don't cars fly?". So we had a conversation about how a car would need wings. And then we talked about all the things that have wings - including teeny mosquitoes. Today at lunch she asked me, "Why is your baby boy naked?". I found this quite amusing. It's not like I've ever told her the baby is naked, but it's an obvious assumption. So, we addressed that concern. Then about 5 minutes later the following conversation occurred:
Me: Audrey why am I so lucky to have a beautiful girl like you?
Audrey: But Mom, you have two beautiful girls. Rachel's beautiful.
Me: You're right. And I'll have one handsome boy.
Audrey: But Mom, you have two handsome boys because Daddy's handsome.
Me: You're right...
Audrey: Mom, the baby's not handsome yet.
Me: Why?
Audrey (with a grin on her face): Because he's naked!
So, there you have it! I'm glad she likes her boys clothed. :)
