As we have been talking to Rachel about our upcoming move; she has drawn some of her own conclusions. And one of those have been that she'll be moving in with her grandma and grandpa in Texas. For the past 2 1/2 years going to Texas has meant spending time with one set of her grandparents. It hasn't meant going home to her own house. So, we've explained to her that she has her own house in Texas (somewhat closer to her grandma and grandpa, but still quite far away).
Anyhow, so today I decided to try and make it more of a reality for her. We looked through some pictures of her with some friends - Eddie, Nicole, and Matthew... We saw pictures of our house, our yard, and things we would do in Texas before we moved to Holland. While doing this I came across some photos that I thought I'd share when Rachel's roughly Audrey's current age (16 months). What good memories these pictures bring!
I just can't get enough of that bleach-blond hair and beautiful tan - I'm sure our girls will look similar by the end of this coming summer... I also can't wait to get our storage items and get those sandals for Audrey to wear!!! :)
When Rachel saw a bunch of pictures like the one above, she promptly informed me that she WOULD NOT be going down the slides this summer at the pool. I told her she had no fear when she was 1. Oh, swimming lessons are going to be interesting...

Oh, Laura. I've been there with the swimming saga with Madison. Painful while it lasts, but like everything in life, is just a stage. She'll be fine. Love your cute pictures. I'm sure that the prospect of returning home to what is familiar must be an awesome experience. Having lived in Holland will just make your time back in Houston that much sweeter.
