Sleep Chart Success

After having moved back into our house Rachel did pretty good for about a week of sleeping in her own room. And then I guess the excitement wore off... Rachel started struggling. We tried just about everything - she picked out her own special "princess" night light and Andy (I refused) would lay with her until she fell asleep. Despite our efforts she still struggled. The most discouraging thing was the multiple visits in the middle of the night. So, Andy (I have such a wise husband) came up with the idea of a sleep chart. Not too sure it would take off, but it has.... This is a picture of our first successful week:
Rachel has since completed another week on her chart and is well on her way to completing the third and final week of success. She now goes to sleep on her own, sleeps with the door closed, and doesn't come into our room in the middle of the night. Yay! We are now back to how it was in Amsterdam. Rachel gets a reward at the end of each week. Unfortunately we still have yet to give her any of her rewards. But on the list are going to see Toy Story 3 with me, meeting Andy for lunch and then playing in the water fountains downtown, and going to McDonald's for lunch and playing at the play place. Pretty simple! We are definitely glad the sleep chart has been successful.
