Hitting Home...

It's really starting to hit home that we're moving. Three more weeks and we'll be dealing with jet lag... Andy only has 2 full days of work left. The movers will be here on Monday to pack us up. We're heading out on one last European adventure. It's crazy! There have been some days and moments that have seemed to last forever, but overall the 2 1/2 years here in Holland have flown by. I know that we will look back at this time with great fondness. Here are some of the many things that we are going to miss:

  • Friends
  • Canals used as fences
  • Windmills
  • European chocolate & ice cream
  • Dutch cheese & yogurt
  • Ollie Bollens during the holidays
  • Bikers texting and talking on their cell phones
  • Exploring Europe
  • Loempias at the outdoor market
  • Flower fields in the springtime
  • Cheap, fresh flowers
  • No car expenses - from insurance to gas to maintenance
  • H&M
  • Walking to the shopping center
  • Quaint Dutch villages
  • Dutch row houses
  • Andy's work hours, which has led to a lot more family time
  • 3 very close neighborhood parks
  • Mosquito-free outdoor playing
  • Being able to bundle up under layers and layers of blankets
  • Enjoying hot chocolate 9 months out of the year
  • Rachel exercising with me (DVD workouts)
